Spatial Historical Evolution of Urban Tosora Cultural Heritage

Between the 15th and 20th centuries, Tosora was a small city in Wajo Kingdom. During its development, became centre of global trade Bugis civilisation produced several artefacts potential cultural heritage value which were damaged during war with Dutch century. These artefacts, include Islamic architecture, urban infrastructure, graves important personages Wayo Kingdom, risk disappearing if they are not properly managed. This study aims to map both physical non-physical historical products for their spatial realisation aid effort promote tourism. We mapped development area, especially elements activities, reveal facts about used qualitative approach based on methods, from GIS-based analysis connecting activities synchronic diachronic reading techniques analysing morphology Tosora’s development. The found that evolution related process since century forces influenced form city. shift government Wajo-Wajo 17th later Sengkang dominated by social, economic, political factors.
